Description: Gut-renovation of three-story office and industrial building for offices, training rooms and emergency response center under tight time constraints.
Highlights:
- Obtained Metro North permit approvals and certifications to work on property that lies contiguous to rail tracks.
- Added three-stop elevator and stair tower, which has become a visual and functional hallmark of the building.
- Installed fire-protection system, communications center, back-up generator and glass curtain wall.
- Complex conversion included erecting barriers to prevent toxic fume leaks and water penetration from entry-level garage into work area.
Project delivered 15% below budget. Red Cross staff moved in within three months of demolition.
